Rebecca Horn

Rebecca Horn was born in Germany in 1944. In addition to sculpture, she also creates films that go along with her work. Her early work was inspired by apendages and prosthetics for the human body. They include alot of masks, cacoons, finger extensions, head dressings, and shoulder extensions that emphasize movement of the body. Her later work features vessels, often filled with liquid. She likes to combine fragile and organic with mechanical. She is also very unconventional when showing her work. She's used a school, a beach, and a tower where prisoners were once held as sites for her work. http://www.oneroom.org/sculptors/horn.html
